Productinfo

Euphorbia DIAMOND FROST belongs to the spurge family like poinsettia. The habit is unusually with continuous growth and blooming. For every inch the stems will branch and produce two tiny snow white flowers, then again a branching with two small flowers and then again and again, soon resulting in a small, regular cloud of flowers.
Diamond Frost might look delicate and fragile, but nothing could be further from the truth – it is actually pretty tough. It prefers a sunny and warm position, yet is one of the plants which perform best after a wet and cool summer, and it does surprisingly well in shady conditions, too.
These outstanding and unusual flowering qualities make Diamond Frost ideal for multiple uses as a single as well as in combinations, e.g. in patios and terraces, where its profusion of airy white flowers will brighten any spot. As a single plant on the terrace it requires only minimal care – the flowers are very small and will quickly shrivel after flowering leaving almost no traces of withered flowers or leaves.
Diamond Frost has soon become a great success throughout the world, and is the one of the most award winning plants in container gardening history. One of the main objectives of Proven Winners is to develop new plants, promote new tendencies and inspire plant lovers all over the world. Diamond Frost fully fulfils this aim and opens up for experiments with combinations with a large range of different plants – pelargonium, bidens, begonia, petunia to name a few.
The glory of white flowers makes Diamond Frost an elegant background or contrast to plants with vivid colours in hanging baskets, combinations in large pots or in garden beds. The dome-shaped yet airy, open habit gently entwines the other plants almost making it look as if they have melted into each other.
Plants in the spurge family often will bleed a milky, white sap if cut or wounded. The sap is a form of latex to which most people will have little or no reaction. However, people with sensitive skin, latex allergies or who are allergic e.g. to Poinsettia should be cautious when handling any euphorbia.
